What Is The Greg Singh Bursary Association Inc?
The Greg Singh Bursary Association Inc (GSBA) was established in 2011 in honour of Greg Singh, who served as a councillor representing Golden Beach in the Caloundra City Council from 2004 to 2008 on the Sunshine Coast.
Councillor Singh was a highly respected member of the local community who had overcome his lifelong disability to realize his personal potential and community leadership qualities. Greg was a trailblazer who put aside his disabilities to work tirelessly to achieve his personal and career goals.
His life was cut tragically short by cancer. Inspired by his achievements, the Greg Singh Bursary Association Inc was formed in 2011 by a group of local Caloundra people who knew Greg.
WHAT DOES THE GSBA DO?
The GSBA raises funds to provide bursaries to children disadvantaged by their own, or their parent’s, disability to assist them to achieve their goals.
The Association is governed by the Queensland Associations Incorporation Act 1981 and is registered as a Charity under the provisions of the Collections Act 1966.
